To Whom It May Concern:

I contacted Donna Malone in Jan of 2014. I was referred to her by a local rescue group. My little girl had some pretty severe anxiety and it had escalated up to shaking. That’s when I knew I needed help.

Donna came to my home and spent several hours, gave me a full assessment and we started to work. Little did I know after having dogs my entire life, I didn’t know much at all about dog behavior. As they say in the dog training world, you train the owner , not the dog. That was the case with us. When I was shown the correct manner of how to do things, my little girl just fell right into place.

We worked with her anxiety over the course of several months and some things were hard to do, but Donna will always give you the best advice whether you agree or want to admit it. She was always there for us, just a phone call away no matter what time of the day it was. She gave me several online books to study and would send me anything she felt I needed at the time. I remember one of the hardest things for me to do was to have her long hair cut off (she was a cocker) in order to wear the anxiety shirt (LOL) but once I did, I actually loved it and the shirt helped Grace a great deal.
She is a very thorough trainer and behaviorist and will go the extra mile to help to get you & your dog to where you need/want to be.

I have since lost my little girl to a sudden, tragic accident, but when I get better, I know in my heart, there will be another dog and one of the first people I will call will be Donna. Getting a new dog/pup is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. Or the help you may need with that dog. Getting a dog is a lifetime commitment and each one is different, so you do the necessary work to turn that little baby into a well behaved, happy, loving companion. One of the most important things I learned is dogs need structure and mine needed it big-time, it gives them security. Dogs are pack animals and you must establish yourself as the leader. That actually makes them very happy and they feel secure.
I highly recommend Donna as a trainer and a behaviorist. I think you will be very pleased with the end result.
